Horsemanship Program
Explore Day Camp
Explore Day Campers will spend an hour each day in “The Outback”, where they will take part in horse care lessons, go horseback riding, and interact with our petting farm animals. Over the course of the week, campers registered for a 5-day session will have the opportunity to ride four times, and campers registered for a 4-day session will have the opportunity to ride three times. Campers are taught to safely lead their horse and to start, stop, and steer their horses while riding. This introductory program builds confidence in riders.
Extreme Day Camp & Discovery Camp
Extreme Day Campers and overnight Discovery Campers will have 3 one-hour recreational horseback riding sessions at the barn. During these sessions, campers will participate in horse care activities and three one-hour sessions of recreational horseback riding.
Wrangler Crew
Our overnight Wrangler Crew is a leadership camp where participants will spend 15 hours volunteering at the barn by helping with round-up, daily barn routines, and assist with riding lessons. Wrangler Crew campers will also have the opportunity to ride recreationally three times during the week.
LIT & 252 Crew
Campers in LIT & 252 Crew Camps will have the opportunity to ride recreationally at least once during their session. Riding may consist of either a lesson or a trail ride.
Horse Lovers Camps
Campers in our overnight Horse Lovers Camp will spend 7 hours in the week at the barn developing their Western Riding skills and taking part in horse care activities. Campers are placed in one of the riding levels below based on their current riding ability. Riders can progress through the levels and will receive a certificate at the end of the week.
